A shocking theft case in northeast Delhi’s New Usmanpur area has come to light after a man reportedly lost 11 kilograms of silver from his scooter during a minor road altercation.

Silver Stolen During Roadside Argument

The incident took place near JPC Hospital on Sunday, police said.
According to officials, 22-year-old Ramratan Aggarwal, a resident of Shahdara, was returning home when his scooter accidentally brushed past another two-wheeler.

The two men on the other vehicle stopped Aggarwal, leading to a brief verbal argument. After the confrontation ended, the accused drove away from the scene.

Theft Discovered After Reaching Home

Police said that when Aggarwal reached his home, he realized that the 11 kg of silver kept in the scooter’s storage compartment was missing.

“The silver was kept safely in the scooter’s under-seat storage. The complainant found it gone soon after the scuffle,”
said a senior police officer investigating the case.

Police Register Case, Scan CCTV Footage

Following Aggarwal’s complaint, a case has been registered at the New Usmanpur Police Station.
Officers are now examining CCTV footage from the area to identify and trace the suspects involved in the theft.

Authorities have also launched a search operation across nearby routes and marketplaces where the stolen silver might have been moved or sold.
